hello, I hope all is groovy. It's well groovy here, although I have a whiff of a hangover based on my activities last night. I'm blaming an organic, unfiltered sparkly red Lambrusco. Or possibly the unfiltered drinks I had before that.

So, a few things today: first of all it's the super 50p Friday music which is a British soundtrack and, I believe, the first by Laurie Johnson. No Trees In The Street is the name of the film / score and features some fine pastoral work by the man who would later go on to score a mountain of quite funky British film, TV and library. It's a charming thing and can be found here for 50p. And it looks as if the preview buttons for music are now back on the site! Yay!

Also today I announce DIRTY FAN MALE 2018 - yes the award winning and quite extraordinary show about my trip through mail-order porn. This year it's on 11th December at Bethnal Green Working Men's Club. One night only, it's £15 a ticket, tables can easily be organised for you. Just email me with your ticket / table numbers, I'll email you back and then I start putting together the seating arrangements for this hilarious one-off night. So, simply book direct with me and you pay on the door on the night.

Also, we all have woken to the sad news that one of my all time music heroes - film composer Francis Lai - has died. Oddly I was watching Hannibal Brooks this week and it features his lovely music. Oliver Reed, Lucy the elephant and more can be found here.

I'm now off to my office where I have to put back the two big bags of jazz and funny music LPs I removed yesterday to play out last night. No, they are not filed alphabetical but they do have a special way of going on the shelves, so this may take some time.

Thanks for listening as always

Jonny
