hello, I hope all is groovy. It's pretty groovy here as the upside down shower unit is looking like it might get replaced this weekend. So my mornings could well be awesome again from next week.

In other news there is no 50p Friday this week, simply because I have already asked you to buy a book and then tickets to a party. Thanks to all who grabbed a copy of Own Label, anyone who missed out can get one here at Fuel, the publishers. And those who got tickets to the Midsummer Night madness, see you there on the night. And thanks also to anyone who helped Fred Deakin get over the line for his Sci-Fi Kickstarter LP. I saw him this week and he is thrilled.

Next weekend I'm lucky enough to be going on a train to Spain with my family, so filling my funky shoes next Sunday for the Half Forgotten Library session at Spiritland on The South Bank is Sie Vulture, he of Very Good Plus and beyond. A great record collector with really great records. And it's free, 1pm to 6pm. And Martin Green will be there too, of course.

As for a film link this week, I actually got stuck in a website on Wednesday. I was looking up the Sonix Victory 75 because it's part of the briefly seen backpack worn by Stormtroopers (actually Sandtroopers) in the first Star Wars film. Don't ask me how I got onto that, but I ended up at the virtual Radio Museum where you can easily get lost looking up all the radios ever made ever anywhere (I just started by typing in "Braun" and went from there).

I'm now off to the Spitalfields Record Fayre, no doubt to try and convince Dave The Milkman to sell me more good records from his funky old milkcrate. Any purchases will be shared on Instagram.

Thanks for listening as always

Jonny
