hello I hope all things are groovy. Yes, this is a Trunk mailout, and unsually it has an American flavour. Or should that be flavor. Anyway, there is some new Trunk stuff to hear about and I shall try and be concise.
First up, It's Broken! A classic outsider album made by a talented man called Bob Chance is here. I wrote about it in Mojo a couple of years ago, loved it so much I licensed it and then sort of sat on in for a bit. Well now is the time I reckon. Musically Bob is like no one else. This is an album he made himself in 1981. It starts off all country and goes bonkers. It's like a cross between Glen Campbell, Giorgio Moroder and a serial killer. There's a ten minute disco oddity on there, a visit to Bob's jungle and a track about a stalker too. Bob made the album and pressed it privately, then hardly sold any. It's class. I love it. It's strangely good bad and addictive.
If you would like a copy of the album, it is now available exclusively to the Trunk mailing list on both vinyl and CD. Vinyl is limited to 1000 copies worldwide (with lots already going back to the USA). Prices for this mailing are £10 for the LP inc postage, £5 for the CD inc postage. Which seems like a price from 1981. Anyway, If you'd like to get your grubby mitts on one (or more) copies please follow these simple instructions carefully:
1) decide what you want, and find the correct combination of £10 and £5 notes.
2) get yourself a piece of paper, about A4 size, on which you must write your name, address, what you'd like (ie an LP, or CD etc).
3) please then draw a picture of something broken. For example, it could be a broken leg, a broken TV, a broken heart, that sort of thing. It doesn't matter how bad or good this drawing is, just have a go. Some people slightly cheat and get their children involved, which always goes down quite well. There is a prize awarded for the best one. If you want to see some of the drawings sent in for The Seasons release, they are here.
4) Then wrap your money in the paper, put it in an envelope and please send to the name and address here:

Other fabulous news includes the fact that the legend that is Ken Garland has allowed me to reprint his beautiful Galt Toys catalogue cover art from 1970 onto 25 tee shirts. Well it's 24 now because he nabbed one. They can be seen and bought right here.
There are some of my adult movie poster collection now up for sale. I have no room for them any more. Some are cheap, some of the rare ones are more, but they are all smashing. They can be seen on this page.
There is a beautiful song sung by children I found recently that you can hear right here, and you can download it for free for the next few days once you sign in (or register) to ye olde Trunk shoppe. One day I should put it on to vinyl as it is so lovely. In fact I probably will.
Also, the first ever fully legal, fully licensed download (yes I know, just a download, but it's better than nothing) of Dudley Moore's classic Bedazzled soundtrack is now here. It's an extended version with two different takes of the two classic songs featured in the film. This is the first ever official release. You can have a look and listen here.
And finally, I recently bought a small but interesting collection of Morricone LPs. They are now for sale directly from me. Drop me an email if you'd like to look at the list. There are about 30 titles in all, from spaghetti westerns to giallo scores and beyond.
I am now going. Probably to fix something. Many thanks for listening.
