This will be the last Trunk mailout of the year. And as you can gather from the title it's a really fun and festive one.
The first news is that the long awaited Trunk Christmas mix CD is in. I say long awaited because I've had a number of emails requesting this now annual thing. It's about the sixth one I think, and has the snappy title of the Xmas Nut Selection. It stars Orville, Paul Horn, some ladies singing really well, a great number about stockings, unexpected cover versions, Suicide and other fine jingly delights. You can buy it right now or you can get it free if you spend £20 in Ye Olde Trunk Shoppe. And once again, just for Christmas, the Shoppe has Jonny's Christmas Sack which features a whole heap of Trunk goodies and fine potential gifts - classic albums, samplers, tee shirts, posters and things all marked well down in price (many 50% off), as well as a host of favourites that make excellent pressies for yourself or for others such as The Refined Lard Tee Shirt. the Refined Lard CD, there is a restock of the exceptional Now We Are Ten sampler, the MMs Bar CD and more besides. There is also a brand new very limited Lionel Letter Tee Shirt, (taken from Dirty Fan Male) which is just in stock. There are only 15 of these Lionel Tees available. And now both the Jeff Keen vinyl album and CD are in the shoppe too. Yes, it's all very exciting indeed. And if you look around the shoppe you may also find that the free download of the first ever Ravi Shankar album is still there. I made it available for free a couple of days ago in memory of the sitar maestro, tweeted the link and caused a bit of a Twitter avalanche thing. Apparently word of it even got onto various news feeds around the globe, which is bonkers.
There may also be a brand new two colour Vision On tee shirt available in the Shoppe by Monday if my printer gets his skates on. And while we are on the subject of Vision On if you want to come out and have some most excellent fun this coming Monday, we are having the Christmas Vision On night. It's free and sometimes quite odd in an excellent way. There is a flyer right here. The evening is at The Drop, below the Three Crowns in London N16. And yes, I know its a Monday, but it is the last week before the big day.
And finally I'd just like to wish you a very fine Christmas. Thanks for supporting my little label over the last 12 months, it has been a joy to keep finding music and issuing to such an enthusiastic audience. And I hope to bring you some very fine things in the new year. And maybe take some spelling lessons too.
Best wishes
Jonny
