excellent, it's new Trunk newsletter. Hoorah! And yes, there is some news. I'll start with the fact that a new and very pink Jeff Keen Noise Art record is coming in, simply because the 500 I made sold out in about two days and lots of shops in the UK who’ve bought Trunk Records for years got none at all and had orders they couldn’t fulfil. So I had to make a few more so they could get some. As I say, it's pink, there are two different screenprinted pink sleeves, pink inserts (ooh err) and clear vinyl with pink bits in. All are being sold to the shops, I only have about twenty copies which will be for sale in Ye Olde Trunk Shoppe next week.

You might be interested to see that the Scottish styled art and drawings sent in for The Cults Percussion Ensemble LP have finally been scanned and they can be seen here. The arty ones for Jeff Keen will be up shortly.

And this weekend on Resonance FM there is a charity fundraising weekend. As usual the fundraiser is an auction, this year you can buy the OST Radio show and come and do it yourself. There are records for sale, loads of other excellent art, prints, music from all over the place and even a chance to get the entire Trunk digital catalogue (about 150 albums) for a minimal amount. Talking of digital music, there is the classic Timebeat and Waltz in Orbit Radiophonic cues - the first Radiophonic records ever made - now available here at the very special mailing list price of just 10p. Blimey.

It's also worth me mentioning that there is an eight page article on Trunk Records in this month's Record Collector magazine. Much of this article and the releases are, I believe, down to the endless enthusiasm for the music shown by the followers on this very mailing list. So thank you all.

And finally, there is a brand new Trunk record. It's the first ever Trunk 10", a sort of two sided one. There is also a glaring error on the insert, but I'll let you find that one out for yourself. The record is called Electronic Sound Patterns / Electronic Movements. Side One is Electronic Sound Patterns, the rare Listen Move And Dance EP made by Daphne Oram in 1962. It was her first ever record (soem say it's the first ever electronic "dance" record) and is all the electronic sounds and music she made for schoolchildren to dance and improvise along to.

Side Two is Electronic Movements and is a rare four track EP that was also issued in 1962. All music here is by Dutch Electronic pioneers Tom Dissevelt and Kid Baltan. It's quite incredible, futuristic and brilliantly odd considering it's over fifty years old. It was a classic James and Trish / Broadcast DJ record.

The artwork features the original sleeves on both sides of the record, with sleevenotes and spelling mistakes by myself on the insert. The sleeve images are upside down from each other so you can display the ten inch up which ever way you want and the opening edge is always on the right side.

The price for this little electronic ten inch to mailing list members is £10. This includes postage in the UK.

If you would like one, and there are only 500 in the world, the please follow these simple but exciting instructions.

1) get yourself a £10 note. Then get yourself a piece of paper.

2) on the piece of paper please write your name, your address and what you want. eg "I'd like the new ten inch record please"

3) On the rest of the piece of paper please also draw a something electric. This can be anything - like an electric toothbrush, electric chair, electric light bulb, anything electric. It also doesn’t matter how good or bad this drawing is, it just has to be a vague attempt at art (just look at the Scottish ones mentioned above if you need guidance but watch out for Sean Connery). And there will be a prize once all drawings are in.

4) Wrap the money in the paper, put it in an envelope and send it here:

I’m off now to recharge my remote control lady. Thanks for listening as always.

PS can the person who drew the Scottish wildcat picture on SS Titanic paper please email as they won the Cults Percussion drawing competition. The winner was chosen by Bert, who is 7 years old.
