Hello. I have news that the new Trunk physical LP should arrive next week, but more on that the day it comes in. Before then we have today's #50pFriday treat that is the album Big Band Bossa Nova. It was a breakthrough monster for Quincy Jones and his big band; this lively set of fast and sometimes furious bossa inspired numbers is a true and often charismatic classic. It also includes the ubiquitous Soul Bossa Nova, which is where this perennial fave came from, but the other cues (esp Boogie Bossa Nova) are definately worthy of attention and may well have you bopping about the place in an unexpected fashion. Well that's what I think.
