Excellent news on the latest Trunk album, the test pressing were approved on Monday so hopefully the LP will be back next week. Although I'll believe it when I see it. And after last week's email mentioning further vinyl delays I got several back from other people suffering similar vinyl traumas.
But today, and for some instant musical satisfaction, the #50pFriday treat is an album that includes Komeda's music for Polanski's awesome thriller Knife In The Water. Both Komeda's trio and quartets are at work here - there are ten cues on the album, five killer jazz numbers - including the very beautiful Moja Balada, then all five cues from Knife In The Water. it's distinctive, hip and slightly unsettling in a most marvellous way. Just perfect for the weekend, especially if you're planning on picking up a hitchiker and taking him sailing.

Thanks for listening as always.
