Hello, I hope you are enjoying the weather. And thanks for all the suggestions last week about paddling pools and puncture repair kits.

Today's #50pFriday album is the classic live recording of Herbie Mann At The Village Gate. For me this was a landmark album, never before had I heard such incredibly long, super cool and hypnotic versions of "It Aint Necessarily So", "Comin' Home Baby" and "Summertime". Twenty odd years on from first encountering it, I still find it stunning and often use it to DJ simply because 1) it sounds brilliant and 2) the cues are so long I can go and have a Jimmy Riddle.

There is a link here. I have also included all other #50pFriday albums from this month in case you missed any.

Thanks for listening as always. And by the way, the nursery rhyme drawing for the Carl Orff album have been scanned and will be posted shortly. I shall keep you informed.
