Hello again. The Morricone 50p offer from a couple of weeks ago is still on the mend. So today we have another rare chunk of Italy, in the shape of the marvel that is Gli Arcangeli. It's a soundtrack and translates as The Archangels and to be honest I have no idea what the film was all about - I'm assuming having seen some of the classic, iconic posters of the period it's all about late night jazz clubs, passion, love, some strange phone calls, some nudity, some great trousers and some good shoes too.
Musically it's by Sandro Brugnolini who went on to make £4000 library albums. It's groovy, jazzy, lustful, dancey and also stars the Modern Jazz Gang and Helen Merrill who I'd happily die for. An original of Gli Arcangeli would set you back about £1000.
Here is a link.
I'm off to Wales to Festival No.6. It looks like rain.
Thanks for listeing
Jonny
