There is a problem here this morning, in that my bloody mac has decided to play silly buggers and now has a trackpad that refuses to work. As you can imagine this makes sending emails etc hard work as half the page is often highlighted when not required. So, it is with some caution I am writing this mailout. It may not even make it to you...

But if it does, today's #50pFriday album is a super duper one from Mancini, Experiment In Terror. This was his first work for Blake Edwards, a partnership that was to flourish over the next couple of decades (The Pink Panther, The Party etc), but for this 60s psychological drama about a thief terrorising a bank teller, Mancini wrote some brilliant and suspenseful jazz, all hip and sometime a bit strange, but always with a noirish tone. I love it. At the time of release the album was banned because of the slightly saucy almost kinky Lee Remick cover, which today looks a little scary but 50 years ago was positively nightmarish.

A link is here.

And thanks to all those who have drawn pictures for the Classroom Projects album. The Grange Hill sausage seemed to pop up with alarming regularity.

Thanks for listening
