Hello, I hope you are well.

First up it's the #50pFriday album which today is the classic "Relaxin' With Miles", a most excellent listen and to which I have added his version of Nature Boy (by Eden Ahbez), one of the most blissful recordings of all time. The link is here.

Also, as briefly mentioned last week, I have a sort of launch today. Yes, a sort of launch in that I am only telling the Trunk mailing list. As you know I'm a record collector, and as a result have always needed a bag for my records. Anything from the basic 1980s plastic Sainsbury's bag, through to the early 1990s classic black polyester canvas record bag with a logo on the front (very early "man bags") - I even had a strange German record bag made from an old inflatable boat that had sunk. All these bags lasted anything from a week to a couple of years, but more recently I really wanted something a bit more permanent, a bit more up market, a bit more grown up and a little more stylish. I couldn't find anything, so I teamed up with fellow collector Ed (from Blaxploitation.com) who also wanted a better record bag and so we ended up going to a traditional hunting / shooting / fishing bag manufacturer to see what we could do. The result is the all new "Record Hunting Bag". They are beautiful, practical, perfect for records (and all sorts of other stuff), are handmade in to a very high standard using the most superb materials and so will probably outlast you. They come in two colours and three sizes, the standard 12", a larger "Utrecht" 12" bag and a really cute little 7" one too.

We started a new company to sell them, named after a rare British jazz track by Mike Westbrook. Here is a link to the new site: www.originalpeter.com

We've only made a few as they cost a lot to make, but if do we sell out we can get more made and delivered back to us in two weeks time, so you won't be waiting long. I reckon it might be something for that Christmas list....

Thanks for listening

Jonny
