As we are all very much aware, Halloween is only a few days away. So I've got together with Nick Brown (who ran the shop Intoxica!) and plundered his collection for weirdy Halloween records. The result is today's #50pFriday album - the awesomely titled "Hipster Halloween". It's a collection of 14 rare spooky singles including work by Joe Meek (Night Of The Vampire), Screaming "Lord" Sutch and even Burt Bacharach (his stone cold classic theme from "The Blob").
There is a link here. And I have to say I think the artwork is awesome too. It looks like Boris Karloff is doing the Vampire twist.
As is usual for the last Friday in the month, all the other #50pFriday albums are there again.
I hope you have an excellent weekend. And if you are near a radio or computer tomorrow I'm interviewing Jim Williams, the composer for all the Ben Wheatley films (A Field In England etc) on the OST Show on Resonance FM at 4.30pm. Excellent. I'm very excited.
Thanks for listening.
