Morning, I hope you are well.
Today's #50pFriday album is very relevant to this time of year. It's Malcolm Arnold's classic score to The Bridge On The River Kwai. It has the memorable Colonel Bogie whistling March and also some stunning and emotionally powerful passages such as "Sunset", which upsets me in a very beautiful way every time I hear it - I'm sure it's got something to do with me watching the film as a kid and my older knowledge of the plight of so many wartime soldiers. So, as we are approaching the 11th of the 11th I thought it only appropriate to donate all money from this #50pFriday album to The Poppy Appeal, or rather the Royal British Legion as it is properly known.
Here is a link to the album.
On a wildly different note, I am today finalising the date and venue for Dirty Fan Male, so more news of that next week.
Have a great weekend, and thanks for listening.
Jonny
