Hello, I hope you are well. To be honest I'm a bit hungover as I went to the Wire Xmas party last night - as usual their annual musical quiz was quite impossible. Yes, this festive season is gathering a little more momentum, so I thought I'd make today's #50pFriday album follow those lines. It's a true classic for this time of year, Duke Ellington taking on Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. It's excellent, and includes some weird time signatures and the killer "Sugar Rum Cherry" (his version of The Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairy), and his Chinese Dance is pretty hip too. There is a link here. I listened to it this morning and it summed up strangely how I'm now feeling, sort of festive and fuzzy.

Thanks to everyone who bought posters, tee shirts and CDs from Jonny's Xmas Sack last week. The sack will be open until the end of Chistmas, and I've added some other bits and bargains this week, like Bob Chance.

I hope you have an excellent weekend...I'm interviewing the man who rode a swan pedalo down the Thames tomorrow. Should be groovy...

Jonny
