Hi there, I hope you are well. This week I had one of those horrible and unexpected computer-based disasters. Yes, my hard drive decided to explode and as a result I lost a month’s worth of data, files, emails and stuff. So, first of all, if you’ve ordered seats / tables for this up and coming Dirty Fan Male spectacular at Bethnal Green on Valentine’s night can you please email me so I have your name.

Secondly, I’ve also finally managed to sort out this week’s #50pFriday album which is the unique debut by gobbledygook master Stanley Unwin. He invented his own incredibly strange way of speaking (known as “Unwinese”) and his first album, called Rotatey Diskers, not only showcases his talents at recounting famous stories in this fashion (Goldyloppers and The Three Bearloaders for example), but also has recordings of him fielding questions from journalists in fluent nonsense which is quite extraordinary because it all makes total sense. It’s very funny and strangely bewildering and pretty much impossible to mimic. There is a link here. Please remember if you click the album artwork it takes you to the options to download WAVs or MP3s.

Also, while you are on-line, it might be worth you watching this item on ebay. It’s up for auction on behalf of the Resonance FM annual fundraiser and is possibly the rarest library LP of all. It’s currently at £500 with three hours to go. One has never been sold before.

This week I’ve also finally been given an estimated arrival time for the Small World Of Sammy Lee vinyl which is 18th of February, so more about that in due course.

And if you’re still stuck for a night out on Friday Feb 14th, there is some room to join us at Bethnal Green for Dirty Fan Male. An unforgettable and hilarious night is guaranteed. £10 a head, please email me for tickets…

Have a super weekend, I’m now off to Spitalfield's Record Fayre on the hunt for old men in cheap sportswear.

Thanks for listening

Jonny
