Good morning, I hope you are well.
Today's #50pFriday offer is the one that was supposed to be available last week, but wasn't. It's a special offer made available by a friend of Resonance FM, and all money will go to the charity based radio station. It was a peculiar coincidence that this patron of the radio station happened to be the son of the writer of the cult theme to The Flashing Blade. Anyone growing up in the 1960s and 1970s and had a TV will no doubt remember this classic and poorly dubbed musketeer show that was shown regularly in the school holidays over about a decade. It had a rousing, unforgettable sing-a-long theme, which was specially written for the UK versions of this French series. This track did get a release but sold very poorly and is, as a result, a very rare single indeed. The track is not available on iTunes or anywhere else digitally at all, so this is the first time this track has been released since the 1960s.
There is a link to buy it here. All proceeds going to Resonance FM.
Hopefully next week the Sammy Lee soundtrack will arrive, but to be honest, I'll believe it when I see it.
Have an excellent weekend, and thanks for listening.
Jonny
