hello. First of all thanks to all the people who wrote in for the Small World Of Sammy Lee LP and CD. Some extraordinary artwork appeared (including a complete cartoon book of the film) and will be scanned shortly. Seems like the music is going down well too.

For today's #50pFriday album we have a beatnik classic - "The Cool Scene - Twelve New Ways To Fly", a very fine compilation put together to attract young hipsters into the world of happening beatnik music. The superb cover art is not too dissimilar to a coffee bar scene in my nearby London districts of Dalston or Shoreditch. Certainly from a facial hair and expresso machine point of view. While we're on the subject of Shoreditch, you may want to watch this. Recently posted on youtube it's a 1969 BBC show featuring kids from Shoreditch School creating a sound picture. Quite like the work heard on the Classroom Projects album.
