Bonjour! Today the #50pFriday album comes at you i) on a Thursday and ii) from France. It's an unexpectedly super compilation that came out the same week as the OST to Beat Girl. I only know this as I have a strange plastic tea tray with both sleeves on it, made as an odd promo by Columbia records. The comp must have been a first in this direction for a British label, includes such outstanding talent as Piaf and Trenet but also features a bunch of French talent you may not be aware of. The album also has a great cue all about petanque. And everyone loves a game of pentanque. A link to the album is here.

Also, and I do not make a habit if this, I must recommend you go and see The Drowned Man. I was asked to DJ in the bar for The Punchdrunk Theatre group in Paddington on Tuesday, and have never been to a show like it before. Three hours of immersive madness, mayhem and pretty much everything else you could not think of. It was totally bizarre and quite unforgettable - mindlblowing on mnay levels in fact. I thought the show had actually ended its run, but apparently it's carrying on until June. A very special evening out.

I also hope you have a happy Easter. I am off to throw my kids into the cold sea in Norfolk.

Thanks for listening.

Jonny
