First of all, thanks to all those people who emailed last week about the record boxes. Very much appreciated.
Secondly, it's Friday, and today's #50pFriday album is a classic slice of underwater exotics: Jewels Of The Sea by Quiet Village God Les Baxter. Les was one of my earliest musical heroes and is still an artist I regularly listen to. This is a fine bit of work, taking the ocean as his influence - it's all drifty and watery and makes you want to go on holiday a bit. Also, please note that track five is spelled incorrectly. Probably my fault. The album can be found here.
And as it's the third Friday in the month it means that today is Record Fayre Day down at Spitalfields Market. I shall go shortly. I did quite well last time, coming back with a fine couple of albums and a mild skin infection.
Thanks for listening
Jonny
