Hello, I hope you are well.
The obsession with all things space and music continues here at Trunk, and will do so for many moons. As a result today's fun-filled #50pFriday album is a classic and quite weird rock and roll oddity, with twangy echoed geetars and wild vintage electronic sounds coming together for this absolutely awesome Jimmy Haskell album. It came from a time when space was an exciting, mysterious place, and the music is overflowing with this optimism and naivety. The album is called Coundown! and features a fistful of super groovy and slightly experimental cues, one which has a stupid alien in it. This album works very well in the car - especially the first cue which is all a bit fast and thrilling. If you don't have a car maybe imagine what it's like in a car with the album playing. The link to this classic is here.
Sadly there is no record fayre today. Looking on the bright side, this means I will not need a wash later today.
On another note, the Trunk sampler Funny Old Shit is currently Lauren Laverne's album of the week, which is nice. That woman sure has taste.
Thanks for listening.
Jonny
