Hello, I hope you are well. I am back from a mamouth tour of England. Nine counties. In fact I lost county.
Since returning to Trunk HQ I have been very busy, there are several albums and a single in production and none of them are here yet or on the Trunk site so I can't say any more. Very exciting none the less. There is also the Smallfilms book heading this way, out in early October. I have just printed some beautiful early stills from The Pogles (pictures of the Pogles family in strange and enchanting rural situations) and was wondering if they were worth making available. If you might be interested let me know, they are quite lovely.
Also, #50pFriday can now begin again, and today we have a musical treat by Edmundo Ros, his cover versions of the classics from The Sound Of Music. This was before the film was made so there are cues you may not be aware of. It's a charming and quite excellent album, with a killer version of My Favourite Things and more besides. It's slightly exotic, slightly classical, very jazzy and most enetertaining. A link can be found here. My apologies, there are now WAVs. And my apologies if I have already done this as a #50pFriday record. Don't think I have though.
It's the first Friday of the month, which means it's Spitalfield Record Fayre day (punches air with fist). Which also means I can go and buy a load of vinyl that I don't really need and add it to the pile of other vinyl I bought last time that I don't really need.
Thanks for listening.
Jonny
