Hello, and yes, it's a mid week mailout. This is because I've had emails requesting copies of the Smallfilms book. It is now out, and I have a limited number of copies direct from the publisher that have just arrived.

This book - called "The Art Of Smallfilms" is an awesome 300+ page hardback book examining the archive of Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate in true depth. Lovely photographs, close-ups of organ mice, Bagpuss paws, scripts, drawings, models, witches, Pogles, Clangers, Nogbad, you name it. For the first time you can really see how they made everything using quite literally anything around them, and also included are shots of rarely seen models for TV that Firmin was making before he was employed by Postgate.

The foreword is by Daniel Postgate who grew up surrounded by all this magical stuff, and the introduction is written by writer / clown Stewart Lee. The book is £22 (which is cheaper than amazon) and is here. I only have a handful.

One final thing. I sent out this tweet earlier, a shot of the real Emily with the real Bagpuss at last night's book launch. So far over 150 people have retweeted it (in about ten minutes), which is some sort of record this end.

Thanks for reading
