Hello, I hope you are well.

Today's 50p album is one of the first LPs I ever bought, the classic New Sound From Africa. This is a groovy little thing and includes the classic and incredibly cheerful "Lemmy's Jump" which may well have you bopping around in your car seat if you have a car. I think this may well have been the UK debut of Miriam Makeba but I can't be sure. Great little LP none the less. The LP can be found here.

In the middle of the week I had some Smallfilms books for sale, they sold in about five minutes which was quite amazing, so I had to get a few more from the publisher which are now in ye olde Trunk shop. I'm not allowed any more for the time being. The demand has already been very good, the distributor getting orders in from small bookshops they thought had shut down years ago. Apparently a reprint of the book has already been ordered which is astonishing. Also, astonishing is the number of retweets that this tweet of Emily and our saggy old cloth chum has now managed to establish. The internet is an extraordinary place when you are not expecting it to be so. Anyway a handful of books are here.

Next week we have the Spacey Bruce Lacey LPs, so more about those then. In the meantime many thanks for your enthusiasm and continued support for all things Trunk. I am now off to Dublin to talk about records. I've selected a special green tanktop from the Trunk tanktop collection to wear on the trip, although paired with a wierd tie there is a real danger of me being mistaken for a junior member of the Aer Lingus cabin crew.

Thanks for listening

Jonny
