Hello, I hope all is well. Thanks to all again again again for buying the Smallfilms book (seventy seven sold in about ten minutes), the response has been quite overwhelming this end. The publisher is thrilled, some excellent reviews on line too, like this one in Eye Magazine where they call me Jonny Truck. The book company has kindly given me another seven to sell, so if you need one for a chum, they are here.
As we are now heading into longer, darker evenings I thought a good #50pFriday album would be Easy Listening by Johnny Smith and his trio. It's not all Bacharach and late 1960s, instead it's earlier - a proper easy listen, a fine, simple, pared back LP of great guitar and covers, including a very good version of "Black Is The Colour Of My True Love's Hair" which never goes down well here as Mrs Trunk has brown hair. It's perfect for lying in front of a roaring fire or radiator and falling asleep and waking up with your face all red. The album can be found here. Looks liek there are no WAVs on this one, so sorry about that.
Normally today I would be heading to the Spitalfields Record Fayre, but instead I have decided to stay at home, do some work and then watch Loose Women or Dickinson's Real Deal. Hopefully Ian Towning will be on it.
Thanks for listening.
Jonny
