hello, I hope all is groovy. Things are pretty groovy here, especially my jumper today which looks like a page from Ceefax. Anyway, today I have the sublime Gillespiana album up for just 50p, an amazing album written by Lalo Schifrin and perfromed by Dizzy Gillespie and his fine orchestra. I never knew about this until I interviewed Lalo Schifrin in a hotel room (in the early noughties), and he told me that this was the real beginning of his classic film music sound. The album can be found here, along with the rest from this month, including two of the Halloween ones as a few people emailed to say they were on hols and missed them. Remember, if you click through the album images the option of MP3 or WAVs appears.

I've just heard that On 11th December Peter Firmin, the real Bagpuss and probably the actual real Emily will be at Waterstones in Picadilly. From 6:30 onwards there will be a Q & A with them (hosted by yours truly) and then an Art Of Smallfilms book signing. It is also Peter Firmin's birthday so we will be having cake. The event is free, and if you would like to come along, don't tell me, tell Waterstones. Drop them an email to piccadilly@waterstones.com

And this coming Monday, at 4pm on Radio 4, there is a documentary about The Spacey Bruce Lacey called "The Catacombs Of The Mind". It should be excellent. Apparently once it's broadcast it will be available to stream and hear on this page

If anyone wants to hear the madness that was the OST with my evil offspring last Saturday it can be heard again here.

Also, I'm now using that thing on line called Instagram. I'm posting images of such things as weird mags, funny records, watches and knitwear from time to time. My name on Instagram is jonnytrunk and I will probabably follow anyone who starts following me. Obviously it's a desperate attempt to remain contemporary, but I do like the way you can mess about with photos.

I'm now off. I have to make a cake for charity. A ginger one I reckon. Thanks for listening.
