Hello, I hope you are well. It's another groovy Friday in January, and some of you may have snow. As promised last week I'd do some more recapping of classic and hip #50pFriday albums from 2014, and there were some requests last week for ones that were missed, including Aldous Huxley, Glenn Gould's Goldberg Variations and the Johnny Smith Trio's quiet and gentle guitar album, which I have to say is pretty perfect for fireside listening as the evening draws to a close. There are 15 albums available in total, all for 50p each, and the Joe Meek one says it's 75p, but if you click the album picture it goes to 50p. Only a Joe Meek electronic download would do something that odd and unfathomable. I remember when there was a Joe Meek evening planned at the NFT, I went with Barry 7 and as we got there the power went in the whole place, just as it was all about to start. Everyone reckoned it was the spirit of Joe having a laugh and pulling the plug. Anyway, all albums can be found here.

This email will be sent to you automatically by Greedbag as I left home at 5am this morning to go and see a collection of library records in Dorset. I shall post any super finds (although I feel this maybe unlikely as I imagine it's already been well picked over) on my entertaining (for me, anyway) Instagram account. I post under the name jonnytrunk. Yesterday, having dug about in the market for about two hours, I posted pictures of a funny pair of rare fashion books I bought, and this absolute killer royal portrait. Look carefully and you will see that Diana has a six O'clock shadow.

I hope you have a groovy weekend. Thanks for listening as always.

Jonny
