Hello, I hope all is groovy. This week was my birthday. I spent it working at my desk. It was wicked. But as a result at getting a year older I thought I'd get all miserable and grown up and listen to some Blues. The legendary Robert Johnson album was the choice and it it today's 50p Friday album. If you don't know the fascinating and odd story of this man it is worth reading - it's a faustian tale where he sold his soul to the devil at a crossroads in Mississippi, and then became a magical blues singer. The album "King Of The Delta Blues" issued in 1961 became hugely influential thoughout the decade and you can trace his influence through bands like The Rolling Stones, Cream, all the groovy Graham Bond stuff etc. The album can be found here, along with all other 50p albums from mad March.

In other news, I am still waiting for the artwork for Galactic NIghtmare to get finished before I can send it off to get made (it was supposed to be out by now), but thanks to some anarchic computer virus, some questionable excuses and an unfathomable track list, I am still waiting - if fact it is turning into a nightmare. And news of a feast of new Trunk releases with be thrust upon you next week.

I'm now off to the V&A to have my head blown off at the McQueen exhibition. And back in time for some fab Trunk work and then my second trip to Ned Doheny tonight. That pensioner sure can sing

Thanks for listening

Jonny
