Hello, I hope all is groovy. It has gone a but nuts this end, with a remarkable amount of interest in Galactic Nightmare. I am now off to post copies right across the world, to Israel, to the USA, Australia, Canada, Norway, Athens, Belgium, Sweden, Finland, Norway - Alan who made the recordings 30 years ago in his bedroom in Hull could only dream of such global interest. It really is thrilling for him. The UK postal orders will also be tackled today. There may well be some Galactic Nightmare tee shirts shortly.

Sticking with the slightly out-of-this-world thread, I thought a good #50pFriday album today would be Way Out...Far, a very obscure vocal album by The Lewis Sisters. When I first heard it I thought I could easily be listening to an LP by The Free Design, The We Five or any of those killer vocal harmony groups from the late 60s. But this is late 50s, so even more amazing. This very beautiful record can be found here.

If anyone is in Soho tomorrow at 4:30pm I am introducing a special showing at The Soho Hotel of The Small World Of Sammy Lee for the Soho Festival. Aparently one of the original glamour girls from the film is turning up for a chat... And in a few weeks time I have booked a stall at The Independent Record Label Market (which also has the independent beer market on at the same time - yes, the perfect storm...) which is on Saturday July 11th at Spitalfields Market. I will be there with LPs and Original Peter Bags. We have just made a groovy new olive green record bag which looks mighty fine. You can see pictures of it here, from picture 11 onwards.

I've also just been sent this broadcast by a producer who I met yesterday. Made in 2002 it's all about home made recordings from 1930s onwards.

I'd better get a move on. And if there are reports of fistycuffs in N16 today it will be because of me and my vast piles of Galactic NIghtmare parcels holding up everyone at the post office. I might try and make a recording of all the tuts.

Thanks for listening.
