Hello, I hope all is groovy.

As promised, today we have the Ron Moody LP up for grabs. It's an odd thing, successful in part and rarely heard. It was mostly written by Moody, and appeared just after his run as Fagin in Oliver! on stage. This is a few years before he played Fagin again in the famous film. Also, as this may well not be to everyone's taste, I dug out an odd album from many years ago called "Weed Smoker's Dream", a collection of rarely heard songs and jumpin' jazz all about Marijuana, drug dealers, horse, and even a song called "Who Put The Benzedrine In Mrs Murphy's Ovaltine" Class. Perfect for the weekend I thought. All 50p albums can be found here.

Last weekend I found myself at a weird wartime event thing at Hever Castle, with lots of well dressed lindy hoppers hangin' out and dancing all over jeeps and that. I got to talking with a few of them and remembered two amazing dance sequences from the golden age of film making: this one with Fred Astaire (see how it was done here) and this killer one with Cab Calloway (who is on the Weed Smoker's comp) and the legendary Nicholas Brothers. You may not have seen anything quite like it.

I am now dancing off to the Spitalfields Record Fayre. I have bought a special protective suit and gloves for the occasion.

Thanks for listening.
