Hello, I hope all is groovy. I am in Cornwall and I have found a signal for my computer. I am in a small shoppe that sells Cream Teas, pasties and terrible coastal souvenirs, like anchors with "Cornwall" written on them, and weird painted fish you can't recognise on sticks going nowhere.

Anyway, I have sorted the #50pFriday album, and it's pefect for the summer. I feel this is appropriate as it is summer now, it is the holidays for many and it is sunny down here at the moment. Bossa Nova Pelos Passaros is an album made by prolific guitarist Charlie Byrd, about the same time as he made the legendary Jazz Samba LP with Stan Getz. Translating as Bossa Nova By The Birds, but I really can't fathom why. Maybe it's a ll about being a bit exotic and free or something. Anyway, this lovely album can be found here.

Yesterday I was on the beach in Cornwall and there was much surfing going down. Which reminded me that I hadn't seen this for ages: it's the "Echoes" sequence from Crystal Voyager, shot by George Greenough, one of the weridest dudes I have ever met. He strapped an old Mitchell camera to his back, and knee surfed into waves...it's surfing footage like you may never have seen before, along with some extraordinary hippy invention along the way. You can see the documentary here, which I would highly recommend. George still has the same haircut today.

I'm now off to the Port Eliot festival to play some music and cahse after my naughty kids and queue up for them when they decide they are hungry opr thirsty again. I believe I will on Resonance FM live at 2pm today playing some music - probably some of the music I will be playing tonight for Caught By The River.

Next week's email depends again on finding an appropriate signal. Thanks for listening.
