Hello, I hope all is groovy. Still pretty hectic this end, as I have more LPs and singles to move today. Did about 4000 LPs last Friday and still more to deal with.

This morning, before I started thinking about moving records, my mind turned to the imminent change in the weather and the gradual onset of Autumn. It's not here yet, but it's sure on its way. This made me think of coats and all sorts, and for some reason the movie Brief Encounter. It might be because they wear coats most of the time in the film, it might be slightly later in the season, but it's definately this end of a year. Anyway, I took the plunge and decided that today's #50pFriday album will be the soundtrack to Brief Encounter. This classic David Lean love story was responsible for making Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No.2 super famous as it acts as a motif throughout the film. The version used in the film, however, is very hard to find. It is no ordinary run-of-the-mill version - it was played by an Australian piano goddess by the name of Eileen Joyce, and no, until I wanted the actual music a few years ago, I'd never heard of her either. So, this fine slice of Australian played piano recorded in the UK written by a Russian aristocrat and used in one of the great romantic films of all time is available now for just 50p. It can be found here.

Thanks to everyone who bought some of John Cameron's records in the week, the money raised will no doubt help with his moving expenses. Well that's what he said he was spending it on. If you are still up for record there are a handful of Galactic Nightmares that have just landed, and a handful of Sea Fantasy LPs back in stock. These are the last I have.

And it's about here in the weekly mailing that I normally have a film or link to a film. This is often based on something I was sent in the week. And I was sent this short film about Barbara Hepworth in the week by a member of the Trunk mailing list who wanted to buy an old wrestling programme from me.

I now have to wrestle with more boxes, more shelving and possibly some aggro with my kids a bit later this aftrenoon. And hopefully a brief encounter later on tonight.

Thanks for listening

Jonny
