Hello, I hope all is groovy.

As we all know (and have known for months now), tomorrow is Halloween, the end of one great big orange and black shopping bonanza and the start of the next big one. To mark this most spooky of occasions I have prepared many #50pFriday things, including Volume 2 of Hipster Halloween, featuring several rare and scary sevens (including the original Goo Goo Muck). Along with said compilation are all the other amazing ones from the last couple of years and a selected heap of old Trunk horror too, including Blood On Satan's Claw, Crowley, Dr Terror, Night Of The Hunter etc. All albums can be found right here.

There has just been a small Trunk website update. There are now three galleries of nightmare drawings sent in for the Galactic Nightmare LP, and mighty fine they are too. They can be seen here. My apolofgies if your drawing did not make the cut. Please do not take it personally, or blame my children.

If you are in the mood for spooky stuff of the Giallo variety tomorrow night, a good chum of mine is performing her very accurate versions of Morricone / Edda horror tomorrow evening at Richmix in London's fashionable east end. It's called Morricone Giallo. I went and saw the show last year and was sceptical, but both her and her band are amazing, and their versions of reasonably obscure classic such as Lizard In A Woman's Skin are really quite superb. Also, the venue got Giallo and Vincent Gallo mixed up which is most unfortunate and not helped her with ticket sales. More info can be found here

Also, if you are in Reading in a couple of weeks there is a plugged in Radiophonic-based gig thing a happening. I will be playing records there too along with Pete from St Etienne. Here are the details.

I was watching this domino rally thing last night and thought it was the perfect thing to watch at Halloween because of the superb spooky domino sets at the beginning. I really love it. And I also really love this football video. I have now watched it about 40 times and still wet myself laughing everytime. And they're dancing to Vinicius and Toquinho, which is even more unexpected.

I'm now off to East Acton, and to that legendary record store Sounds Original. I go there twice a year. I love the shop but after a long tube journey, a coffee and a walk, there are no lavs anywhere to be found in East Acton, and I normally end up going into the local park and having to use a tree. I think that's enough info for a Friday.

Thanks for listening

Jonny
