Hello. And a happy 2016 to you. I hope all was groovy for the festive period. It was pretty groovy here. And there. I thought Christmas was over but I went to the darts on Wednesday and it all started up again.
Anyway, I've actually started work and there are all sorts of things planned for 2016, most of which could well happen, but also might not based on factors beyond my control, like pressing plants. But there is much ahead, howvere nothing on vinyl for at least a month. In the meantime, I picked up 50 more copies of Tam Tam Tam this week - apparently I ordered a short repress last year but found no evidence of such an order. That aside, they are here and the LP has been out of stock for about 8 months so a repress is no bad thing.
I have also decided to repeat what I did last January, and run out a series of Greatest #50pFriday albums as I always get emails asking for recaps, re-ups and reissues of such things. So, there are ten now available including Morricone, Pinky, Cribbins and some Carribean sauce. All can be found right here.
There were also many emails over the festive period thanking me for these mailing over the last 12 months. This is very flattering indeed, but has now put the pressure on to keep the questionable quality of these mailings up. The good thing is I now also get sent the occasional "have you seen this Jonny?" emails which may well be put into use. None of these have yet included a link to the superb 1979 documentary by legendary film maker John Samson all about the first ever dart superstar, Eric Bristow. It's called Arrows, and you can see it here. I watched it again last night.
I now have to go and finish putting together a long mix for an expensive set of private lavatories. It's certainly one of the oddest musical jobs I have ever had.
Thanks for listening
Jonny
