Hello, I hope all is groovy. And my, what a sad week it has been for music. I realised on Monday that I know the words to more of Bowie's catalogue than I first imagined. And someone at the market yesterday thinks that Bowie was actually Jesus Christ the second coming. We discussed this for a bit and he also decided (under questioning) that Lindsay Kemp was therefore John The Baptist. And if you have not seen Bowie's first blurry TV interview talking about hair, here it is.

The 50p Friday retrospective continues today with ten #50pFriday LPs I remember being very popular. This includes the frog calls album, Sven Libaek, John Barry, Terry Thomas, Komeda, the Bell Laboratories album, Schifrin, Dorothy Ashby and Torme. Hell yeah. All can be found here.

There is also this odd school thing to enjoy - a description of the weird science behind protein synthesis. The kid's demonstration begins at about 3:10, and I think the VO features words via Lewis Padgett. If only science education was the same theses days. You never know, Bowie may well have been there in 1971 and nicked some of the dance and costume ideas.

Thanks for listening.
