Hello, I hope all is groovy. All is well here except for one unwell child, who has refused to wear a scalf whenever it's cold. Apparently he wants to start wearing one now, even though it feels a bit "itchy".

Today as promised it's the last of the January recaps and by accident there are 11 albums in the #50pFriday section instead of ten, which includes Way Out...Far by THe Lewis Sisters which is an album that made the artist / DJ and renowned collector Mark Pritchard email and agree that it was indeed a truly beautiful thing once he'd heard it. Also included on the #50pFriday page are classic albums by Ray Barretto (track from Mean Streets), Yusef Lateef (jazz that isn't really jazz), Betty Boop (oop oop e doop) and Philip Larkin (he's from Hull). There's also that odd record called Blue MIst with the original smoochy track from Abigail's Party and hilarious gobledeegook from Stanley Unwin. All albums can be found here. Next week we are back to single albums for 50p but the musical fun will not stop.

As for links to films this week, there have been several odd things emailed to me (thank you all) but I am holding them back simply because I watched this last night. I liked it because there was no voice over, and it features amazing and rare archival footage from circus and sideshow life. I found the music a little intrusive at times (that's just me I think), but the footage is utterly spellbinding and suitably questionalble these days. A truly great documentary.

I now have to finish the artwork on the next Trunk LP and Martin Green is coming around at a really annoying time to show off new old records he has found that I will want to find and won't be able to.

Thanks for listening

Jonny Trunk
