Hello, I hope all is groovy. It might well be half term where you are, although for some parents I know half term was last week. And of course, you may not even have a half term thing at all.

Anyway, as a result of it being half term here, I am now in Spain with my mother in law and this mailing is being sent out by the good people of greedbag.

Today's killer 50p LP is by prolific Italian composer Armando Sciascia and is his early orchestral trip into space and beyond. Super rare, this was even issued as a library music LP by John Barry's company, which is quite unusual. It can be found here.

You may remember that Sciascia was the composer for the first (now sold out) Pheon LP. Well the second Pheon LP is now in, and it's a compilation of music from Cometa - the company that owns the most desirable of all Italian library labels, SR (aka Sermi). I wanted to do a compilation of SR music about a decade ago and couldn't work anything out, so I've done it now with James from Votary. It's a superb LP of both beautiful and strange music, and can be bought here now. We weren't allowed to use SR or SR artwork (which annoyed the hell out of me) but would explain why "Cometa" is on the front and not SR. Lovely music though, includes this number which is one of my favourite library cues of all time.

More news on the imminent Music Library book soon. They are on their way. And I thought I'd leave you with this film of a hip hop pensioner choir.

Thanks for listening.
