hello, I hope all is groovy. I still have that dog.
I have been mostly enjoying the olympics this week - weightlifting, athletics, crazy BMX larks and I have watched this Chinese Pole Vaulter clip a few times now. In fact I have been so obsessed with the 2016 Games that much has been put on the back burner. It's a surprise I've even got around to the #50pFriday album. Well I have, and here it is. It's Eric And Hattie And Things!!!, the one and only album by comic duo Eric Sykes and Hattie Jacques. I could drop in loads of info now about Hattie's racey sex life but you can find that out for yourself if you want. Anyway, it's a charming album especially because of the "We Go Together" track which I sing loads, especially in the car to annoy everyone.
Some people are a bit (actually more like "very") annoyed with me for not getting my Franz Zwartjes LP ready for the Franz Zwartjes night at the BFI, but I told the BFI I would spread the word about the evening. I am a naughty boy, very much in the dog house so to speak.
Also next week I am doing a Q&A thing about Blood On Satan's Claw at the folk horror cinema club - this starts at the Paragon Bar at the Genesis Cinema this coming Tuesday evening. Tickets and info here.
And finally, here is an automated drum kit made by the brother of harp player Serafina Steer.
I now have to take the dog to its next dog sitter. I might miss her a bit, but will not be missing her incessant barking / growling at anyone either black or wearing black (esp hasidic jews, policemen and John Cameron who came around yesterday in a black top, black trousers and black vans).
Thanks for listening
Jonny
