hello, I hope all is groovy. Like well groovy. It's quite interesting here. Kids all back to school, all back to work and this week I've had my first ever yoga class and really enjoyed it. I'd go so far to say I found it possibly more interesting than I thought I might.

Anyway, luckily for you the #50pFriday album this week is not a yoga LP, although I'm tempted to try and find a really early yoga instruction LP - I have a strange looking one in storage somewhere by Edward Someone Or Other that's all black and white and moody and cosmic, so maybe I could investigate that "path". But in the meantime we have Spartacus, the classic score by Alex North. This album sprang to mind because last night I had to watch a TV advert promoting the new Ben Hur film. It looks very modern and very CGI and Morgan Freeman looks like a practising Ratsafarian with no CGI at all. The legendary Spartacus score (to the Kubrick CLASSIC) is worth downloading just for the blissful "Love Theme" - as covered by Yusef Lateef - and can be found for 50p here. You can also watch the censored scene from the original film known as "The Oysters And Snails Scene" here. It's Olivier and Curtis in the bath together, but maybe not as you'd expect.

Also this week I got send this ace film about The Mellotron by someone on the mailing list. It's great and stars Richard Nixon, who used to have a magic show on the TV - his able assistant at the time was the divine Anita Harris, who possibly still opens the Barnes Jumble Sale twice a year. Let's hope she does.

Just heard that the Prince Buster has left us. This is sad - here he is on a trip heading East.

I now have to go to the local Post Office depot to pick up a large, exciting parcel that has been sent to me by one of the UKs top porn stars of the glamorous 1970s. See you there.

Thanks for listening

Jonny
