Hello, I hope all is groovy. Or better still, well groovy. Things are good here. even after a night of heavy thunder and lightning. At one point I broke into "My Favourite Things" just to make the kids feel less scared.

So, to the all new #50pFriday album, which this week is a compilation of 32 (yes, 32!) classsic TV and radio hits. So, things like Sleepy Lagoon (Desert Island Disks), Sooty, Dixon Of Dock Green, Z Cars and even That Was The Week That Was (see Desmond Leslie hit Bernard Levin on that very show here). This fab new #50pFriday album can be found here.

One of the cues on the album is the classcial music used for Monitor. As I'm sure you know, Monitor was a truly groundbreaking arts programme, in the late 1950s and 1960s. One of the better known episodes was Ken Russell's film about the burgeoning pop art scene, Pop Goes The Easel. You can watch it if you have 40 minutes, right here. If you are abroad just google Pop Goes The Easel Monitor and something should come up

I would also strongly recommend Fleabag. I watched the entire 6 episodes on the iPlayer this week. It's very funny indeed, strangely moving too and there is quite a lot of swearing, which is maybe why I like it. This too is on the iPlayer, and no I am not on the BBC payroll, its just been one of those weeks.

I am now going to a second hand dress shop in Knightsbridge. Yes, I really am.

Thanks for listening.

Jonny
