Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's A OK here. Although I will fess up now to discovering that some (probably all actually) of the 50p downloads of the super rare Prelude Au Sommeil by JJ Perry last week had a small chunk missing. Of course this is an album made to aid sleep, so most people who listened would have fallen asleep by the time the missing chunk (early in Side 2) came along. Anyway, here is the complete album for free, and do note that both sides are very similar.

Today's #50pFriday album will not let you go to sleep, such is the percussive jazzy joy. It's Equation In Rhythm, a British jazz LP featuring the little GIANT of British jazz Tubby Hayes, and "Mr Bongo" himself, Jack Costanzo. In fact I have more Costanzo LPs up my sleeve, but this is a good place to start. It's pretty tribal, pretty darn groovy and quite heavy in parts too. Equation In Rhythm can be found here.

Here is a short film about girls knitting and smoking fags. And I have just enjoyed this, that funny rock band Zoo playing their psychy glam hit Hard Times. Some killer tight trousers and short dresses await.

I now have loads of things to be getting on with but can't for the life of me remember what they are. Have a smashing weekend, and if you are about on Saturday, tune in to Resonance FM at 4:30pm tomorrow where I am interviewing the person who made the odd book I mentioned last week about Wetherspoon's carpets. And you can win said book by coming up with good puns mixing drinks and booze with films / film stars, so like "Get Cava". Please do not bombard me now with your puns, answers have to be submitted to me at the studio while the show is live tomorrow.

Thanks for listening as always

Jonny
