Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's well groovy here, you should have seen the packed lunch I made for my ten year old this morning. I should open a sandwich shop.

Instead I have decided to stick with music, and for today's #50pFriday we have gone with one of the few true gods of music, MIles Davis. This is his album 'Round About Midnight. Apparently this is one of the greatest jazz albums of time. It's certainly a very special album for me, simply because of the version of Bye Bye Blackbird on it. It's superbly pitched, and I used to listen to it on the way to see my dying dad in hopsital about 20 years ago. I cannot hear this music and not think of Trunk Senior, a surprisingly naughty man. Miles Davis and 'Round About Midnight can be found here.

There is also a new pressing of Delia and Elsa's Circle Of LIght. This time on "solid" gold wax. It has been repressed because the last green ones all went in an afternoon! The gold ones are here.

And here you can watch Lionel Blair's sister dancing and singing in my front room. I've "gotta get away now" too, as I'm off to Spitalfield Record fayre to meet an old friend who has just lost his job in advertising. I am going to try and get him to buy the coffees.

Thanks for listening

Jonny
