Hello, I hope all is groovy. And possibly a bit snowy. It's wet and cold here.
So, first of all the #50Friday music - another 5 classics up there now, plus a new one for this week which is called "Clap Hands" and features George Clooney's dad's sister singing. And she sure knows how to do that. All #50pFriday albums can be found here.
So, its been an eventful week at Trunk. I took delivery of a limited repress of Psychomania, this time coming with a black sleeve, so different from the original white one of 2003. I have a limited number that can be found here.
Also, just in is a short new run of Bedazzled LPs as they have all sold out again and shops are wanting more. BUT there has been a major pressing error in that they have only gone and repressed the first pressing! I refuse to have them destroyed or changed, so basically I have about 350 copies of the LP WITH THE SEVEN INCH SINGLE and THE CD. Most will go to shops but I have about 40 copies here. And yes, I'm slightly annoyed by it all but these odd mistakes happen from time to time.
My attention was also drawn this week to this little promo film for the Basil Kirchin weekender in February. Then I started watching this odd thing, introduced by Sandie Shaw talking in French; this is Marie Mathematique, with sound by Gainsbourg and that. No, I'd never heard of it either, but you can sniff the origins of Melody Nelson in the opening minute for sure.
I'm now have to sit here and wait in for the cops. My car has been broken into for the 4th time - this latest thief took my 6 year old's fiddle but oddly left the entire box of Psychomania LPs and Basil Kirchin 7" records that were also in the car.
Thanks for listening
Jonny
