hello, I hope all is groovy. It's pretty groovy here.

Thanks to all who came to Spiritland last night. I played for five hours and managed to avoid show tunes and covers of show tunes for most of that time. I mention this simply as I've had a week of "show tunes" because of all the La La Land larks everywhere. Most of the mums at school seem obsessed with the film (and Ryan G too) and I've been pointing them in various other fabulous musical directions as a result. Like here.

Also, my show tomorrow on Resonance FM is all odd show tunes, and following on that theme slightly today's 50pFriday offering is a fine LP based on R&H's blockbusting South Pacific. You know, the one with Wash That Man Right Out Of My Hair and of course Happy Talk, as done later by Captain Sensible. It can be found here along with loads of other re-ups for January. 

As we all know, President Trump is being inaugurated today. To celebrate, here he is on his favourite instrument, the accordian.

This mailout has been sent remotely as I left to drive to the midlands at about 5am. Basically trying to get out of the way of my kids before they get up.
