hello, I hope all is groovy. It's groovy here because I'm on holiday. But I am now packing up, about to leave Cornwall, heading back to Laandon Taan for the weekend.
This week has been interesting for many reasons. One has been my oldest son Bert, who started saying the word "China" in a funny way. He then had to explain why. This short film is why. Yes, it involves Donald Trump, but it's brilliantly edited.
I am also continuing the spoken word 50p Friday larks. Today it's really quite special, with a super SUPER rare recording by Anais Nin from 1949. She made it for the Louis And Bebe Barron label (Contemporary Classics), and I'd never heard her speak until I'd managed to track down one of the three LPs she made for them. This rare feminist treat can be found here.
In other news I have sent off three new Trunk LPs to be made and one should be back by the end of the month. More news of them will follow. There's another Pheon one coming too.
I wrote this mailing last night having watched Masterchef. We then sat and thought about what we should do next: another game of Boggle or maybe a revisit to The Life Of Brian, as I'd been calling someone "Big Nose" all week. We went for Boggle.
Finally, a date for the diary, I am playing at Spiritland on April 26th - it's a Wednesday so fewer people in the bar = better sound of music.
I'm now off. Possibly heading for a stop in Weston Super Nightmare.
Thanks for listening.
