Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's well groovy here. And a bit exciting.

Some of you may well still be on Easter holiday with the kids (how super!). Some of you, like me, may not be (how less super!). I realised after last week's mailing that it was actually Good Friday and so the Life Of Brian links were accidentally accurate and relevant. I also discovered that the link to Anais Nin reading her own work was broken some of the time, but that, I think, has now been fixed. And you can find Anais on the same page as today's super selected spoken word trip, EE Cummings Reads His Own Poems Volume One.

I was originally introduced to EE by my first girlfriend, who also introduced me to loads of academic works that I didn't really understand, like Rilke. I pretended a bit that I did. Anyway, I really liked and understood EE because he was mad (a poem called "YgUDuh", yes!) and inventive and really crazy with typography. And also it's quite timely because he wrote a poem called "A Politcian Is An Arse Upon" which really works for me at the moment. So, EE for just 50p can be found here with Anais and Hilaire.

You can also see some of EEs paintings here. I nevre knew he was up to such things, and they are way better than mine. Alternatively, you can watch Nancy doing some. OR you can watch my new hero Bob Ross painting, and his commentary is really ace.

In other groovy news I'm playing LPs and singles at Spiritland this coming Wednesday. 8 - 1am. Free entry. Probably playing the Paint With Nancy theme. Do come and say "hello" / "what was that amazing LP you just played" / "can you turn it down please, I'm trying to enjoy my craft ale" etc.

I'm now headed to darkest Suffolk to see a black pig. And to buy an eccles cake from Pump Street.

Thanks for listening

Jonny
