Hello, I hope all is groovy.
It's slightly less than groovy here. Difficult, frustrating work things a happening (or not a happening), builders in my house producing a symphony of hammering and saw sounds from 8am until 6pm (and I work from home - so sounds like I'm in the middle of a Basil Kirchin recording), and then it's been raining solidy all week and we got a leak. And the rain is set to continue.
So, today I am cheering myself up with some Vince Guaraldi, and his LP A Flower Is A Lovesome Thing, because I need quiet lovesome things today. It is slightly at odds with the avant-garde stuff still on the 50p page, but I think we can all manage. Vince can be found here.
I have also been getting back into Bobbie Gentry this week. This is well groovy and a bit blurred.
And one member of this list kindly sent a link to this bizarre, and I mean bizarre tunnel opening ceremony. Stick with it.
I'm now off to the Spitz Record Fayre to catch a mild virus and then it's off to Tunbridge Wells to see more records. Jazz records. Hooray! Thousands of jazz records. Hooray!
Thanks for listening.
