Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's groovy here, but a bit on the muggy / dusty side as works continue here and a thunder storm is imminent.
It's now nearly the end of half term, and as last week's mailing mentioned I went to Norfolk with my naughty kids and they hung out with their cousins. Unusually, one morning, they were doing a lot of singing / clapping / slapping games - "A sailor went to sea sea sea, to see what he could see see see" etc. So I thought this brilliant album of Children's Singing Games from all around the UK would make a fine 50p offering. It's a collection of 50s and 60s recordings, many songs you may not have heard before (like "Mary Maloga She Lifted Her Leg"). The 50p Children's Singing Games can be found here. I had lost of emails last week about the Sea And Ships album. Seems to have created much deep joy.
Staying with the same children / school subject matter, here is a short Pathe film about a school of tomorrow. There is a really good cake half way through.
There will be news next week of the first all new Trunk LP. And thanks very much for all the emails about the jazz LPs I had. They all sold to one lucky person up the road.
I'm now possibly going to the Spits Record Fayre but not sure if my stomach can take it today. Had a bit of a "big one" last night.
Thanks for listening
Jonny
