Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's pretty groovy here, although the Trunk Greebag site has not been working properly which is why this mailing is late.
Today is September the 1st, a feel of Autumn is in the London air. This feels a bit strange as I was lucky enough to be on a sunny beach in Cornwall only a few days ago on the bank holiday. Yes, I had my trunks on, swimming in the sea. There is a subtle link between this and today's 50p album: Learn How To Skin Dive With Lloyd Bridges.
If my memory serves me correctly, this was featured on the legendary INcrediibly Strange music books way back in the early 1990s. And pictures of Lloyd diving turn up all over this informative site I used to read when I got into diving watches a while back. And of course Lloyd was in Sea Quest which I don't think made it to the UK, and also Airplane!, which did. He has a briliant voice for a spoken word LP, and the recording is oddly amusing because it's so very serious. I mean you can die skin diving if you aren't careful. I know this, as my Action Man died this way. Lloyd can be found here.
After last week's mailing I had several emails about Jerry Lewis, pointing me in various directions. This short clip was the best. And this is him in a really horrid mood - I can;t remeber if I linked to this alst week or not.
As it's the first Friday of the month, Spitalfields Record fayre is on. This caused slight issues here as I have to look after my kids today (STILL NOT BACK AT SCHOOL) and so I had to bribe them with Crosstown Donuts to come along for the "adventure". I'm back from the market now, you'll be pleased to know it was beyond terrible and the stabndard of dress has declined even more. But I did buy a weird Muppets country album.
Thanks for listening.
Jonny
