Hello, I hope all is groovy. It's groovy here. But I still feel a bit weird. However I have just invested in a Kombucha kit and will be fermenting tea with a SCOBY this weekend. My next plan is to grow a beard, buy a pig, start using a dreamcatcher and build a sauna in the back garden with wood and animal skins.
This weekend I shall also be back at Resonance FM - yes the OST Show is back after the summer haitus.
On the subject of summer, I found the 50p Friday album today this summer, while I was looking into the history of Jeanne Lee. She was an amazing jazz vocalist, but always quite an experimental one. Here she is with hipster pianist Ran Blake (coolest name of the day) and together they performed live all over the place a lot, and then made an amazing LP with the correct title of The Newest Sound Around. It is superb. And can be found here for 50p.
For the film link today I can offer you a rarely seen John Osbourne 30 minute play called Mill Hill, which stars Peter Cook and seems to be about dentists with strange sexy things going on / off mixed with a bit of unexpected history. So far 45 people have found this on YouTube.
I am now heading for the Post Office depot to pick up my Kombucha kit which was far to large to put through my little letterbox yesterday. Although they could have easily slipped the SCOBY under the door. Like The Blob.
Thanks for listening
Jonny
