hello I hope all is groovy. It's well groovy here and also well late, thanks to some "back end" issues. These are now sorted thanks to clever tech folk in my back end.
As there was no early 50p Mailing, I went to my lock up, which is full of about 6000 LPs (possibly more thinking about it) and I'm in the process of moving them from storage to my all new office shelves (see recent instagram posts @jonnytrunk). One of the boxes I came across this morning had the first Moondog LP inside, but the UK Esquire pressing. This is now the 50p Friday album. From 1956. Joy of joys. It can be found here.
Here is some very rare footage of Moondog, from the classic Conrad Rooks film Chappaqua.
I now have to sit and sort about 1000 LPs into piles of good, not so good, charity and sell. The sell ones will be with me at the next Indy label market in November, and will include such classics as Harpo Marx Plays Harp, Nucleus LPs I don't listen to ever and several LPs unsuitable for home broadcast now I have kids. More news of that will follow.
Thanks for listening
Jonny
